Rumor: Dustin Byfuglien considering 3 teams for comeback
Dustin Byfuglien's 2019/2020 season was as strange as it gets. From medical differences with Winnipeg, to walking away from tens of millions, we may never see a battle like that again. While 'Big Buff' is certainly a mystery, we caught up with one of his ex-teammates to find out their thoughts on what's coming next.

Let's assess these situations. Calgary has 5 pending UFA defencemen, YES 5, including 3 who play the right side. Buff's contract wouldn't break the bank, so the Flames could slide him in at a reasonable amount. It will either be Travis Hamonic or Dustin Byfuglien in Calgary, we wonder who the Flames fans would rather have.
Colorado has money to burn and a young team carrying the load. 'Buff' may not be the perfect fit in Colorado, but he's won in the past and could bring some leadership to the group. This one seems like a weird fit to me.
Chicago makes a ton of sense. Come back on the cheap and give the fans something to cheer about. Toews, Kane, Keith and Seabrook are still in town, could make for a wonderful reunion and a feel good story. Calgary feels like the likely choice, but Chicago is by far wins the fan choice award.
It appears November 1st, it will all go down. Or, perhaps 'Big Buff' walks away from the game and enjoys retirement which will include a ton of hunting and fishing. Buff has always done things his way.

Buff has always gone to the beat of his own drum. It wouldn't surprise me if he waited this out as long as possible, and who knows, maybe he doesn't come back. But if Buff plays next year, look for Calgary, Chicago and Colorado as options for him. A reasonable chance at winning and his set up away from the rink is always at the top of his mind.
