Taylor Hall Receives Insulting Contract Offer From Arizona Coyotes
Taylor Hall has been an elite talent since he was drafted 1st overall in 2010. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season, and he is hoping sign what will likely be the largest contract of his career. This recent offer though? Absolutely brutal.
Hall was traded from the New Jersey Devils to the Arizona Coyotes in December 2019. He tallied a respectable 27 points in 35 games with the Coyotes, but it is unclear whether he will play for them next season.
Although the salary cap will remain at $81.5 million for the next 3 years, Hall can still expect to receive a lucrative deal. His estimated value is $8-11 million per year on the open market, but the Coyotes came in far under that. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, this offer was less than $7 million per year.
