Torey Krug Will Walk In Free Agency
Boston Bruins' defenceman Torey Krug has acknowledged that he will "probably" walk as a free agent at the end of the 2020 NHL Playoffs.
The undrafted 29 year old has acknowledged that he is likely to leave the Boston Bruins and head to free agency at the end of the season. Zdeno Chara is expected to renew with the team, but they will need to sign Jake Debrusk and Matt Grzelcyk who will become RFA's at the end of this season. The Bruins are already tight on cap space, and paying their RFA's will make it impossible to keep Krug in their lineup.
"As far as myself, I don't really know what's going to happen. I'm just trying to take it day-by-day and just worry about the playoffs right now. I'll have to probably prepare for free agency and we'll have to see what happens. But in terms of what's going on with the Bruins and everything, that's probably a question for someone else."
