Tyler Seguin Is Fighting Against Systemic Racism
The George Floyd protests have had a significant impact on our society. The Black Lives Matter movement has continued to sweep through hearts and mind throughout the world. Now, some NHLers have hit the streets to join protesters who are taking a stand against systemic racism.
Dallas Stars' Tyler Seguin has discussed the lessons he has learned about racism and the difficulties that minorities experience because of the color of their skin. Seguin is using these lessons to organize and create change within the league and society. He plans to work with many groups and forward anti-racial initiatives on a local and national level.
Seguin also mentioned that he is going to be part of both local and national initiatives, including one through the NHL. Said it's something he can do more with when fans are in the building and he's not in Alberta in a bubble.— Sean Shapiro (@seanshapiro) July 14, 2020
