Alex Pietrangelo opens up about leaving St Louis
The St Louis Blues won't be repeating as Stanley Cup champions after being eliminated by the up-and-coming Vancouver Canucks. The Blues will have a ton of questions to answer with a flat salary cap on the horizon. Their biggest one, how much to pay UFA-to-be and captain, Alex Pietrangelo.
Pietrangelo opened up about the potential of leaving St Louis, as we all know, it's a business.
At this point the Blues have a few options to move some money out. Alex Steen, Tyler Bozak and Jake Allen seem to be the ones who could be thrown overboard to make room for 'Pietro' to captain the ship for a few more years.Pietrangelo on emotions: “More so when the game is over. It’s not a fun situation to be in, especially when you’ve been somewhere your whole career. But it is what it is, so ... I guess really my only thought is to get home, see my kids, and see where the future takes us.“
