Florida Panthers announce major changes
Well, that didn't take long. The Florida Panthers have announced the team has mutually parted ways with GM, Dale Tallon.
Tallon, who arrived in Florida via Chicago roughly 10 years ago, built himself a solid foundation that could never seem to get over the hump. The Panthers were recently eliminated by the New York Islanders in the play-in round of the NHL's bubble playoffs.
With moves like signing free-agent goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to a massive contract which hasn't worked out to say the least, there was a ton of speculation this move was coming. The team has roughly $20 million dollars coming in cap space for next season and it was obvious the ownership group was a little concerned where Tallon would spend the money.
