Leafs head coach blasted his team after brutal collapse
Poor Leafs Nation has seen this all before. The Maple Leafs took on the Columbus Blue Jackets in game 3 of the NHL play-ins and were up the worst lead in hockey, 3-0. From there, it was the same ol' story for the Toronto Maple Leafs as the team crumbled and ended up losing in overtime. Head coach, Sheldon Keefe is new to this team, but he's certainly not shy about voicing his displeasure.
Well, I feel like the game just got away from us right from the start. I didn't like our game in the first period, didn't like our game at 1-0, didn't like our game at 2-0, 3-0. We just got what we deserved today. I thought we reverted back to a lot of really bad habits. We didn't have any real purpose or plan to our game today, we were just making it up as we go along. So we get what we deserve.
Don't worry Leafs Nation, the team can get right back on the horse as these two teams will face off on Friday at 8pm for game 4. Let's hope for everyone's health in the Toronto area, the team doesn't get up 3-0 again.
Sheldon Keefe thinks the Maple Leafs got what they deserved in Game 3.
