Pittsburgh Penguins fans outraged with latest trade!
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs completed a 6 player trade on Tuesday and it appears Pens GM, Jim Rutherford is already under some hot water.
The deal was centered around speedster, Kasperi Kapanen, who the Pens know awfully well as they drafted him in the first round in 2014. Here's the full trade:
Details for Penguins:

RW Kasperi Kapanen
D Jesper Lindgren
LW Pontus Aberg
Maples Leafs getting:
2020 Rd 1 pick (15 overall)
LW Evan Rodrigues
C Filip Hallander
D David Warsofsky#Pens | @TheAthleticPGH | @TheAthleticNHL
please forgive any type
While the Maple Leafs obtained the 15th overall pick, Hallander, who was a 2nd rounder in 2018, and this frees up $3.2 million in current cap space, Pens fans appear to be livid with the move.
I wish I loved anything as much as Jim Rutherford loves making trades involving people he’s heard of

the leafs just fetched a good prospect and the 15th overall pick for Luis Mendoza

The great thing about trading with Jim Rutherford is absolutely nobody knows what's gonna happen. You could get a defenceman who wears his skates on his hands or their next nine thirds or Evgeni Malkin with salary retention. He's a madman

Jim Benning gave up at worst a 24th overall for JT Miller. Jim Rutherford gave up a 15th overall for Kasperi Kapanen.

Enjoy your day.
It's almost like Dubas said, "to trade Kapanen I need cap space, a draft pick, or a prospect" and Jim Rutherford interpreted that as all of them https://t.co/ry3VpFS7Ax

That is absolutely terrible for the Penguins. I'm officially on the fire Jim Rutherford bandwagon.

What a fucking awful three years for Jim Rutherford. Retire.

Remember, Jim Rutherford won GM of the year and a Stanley Cup in Carolina, then seemingly made every wrong move possible after that, and Carolina got much better and more stable as a franchise after he left
