Rumor: Anaheim receives trade offer for Ryan Getzlaf
The Anaheim Ducks have been Ryan Getzlaf's team for over a decade. The Stanley Cup champion has produced each and every year he's been in California. Over 1000 regular season games and over 100 playoff games, 'Getzy' has been the captain of the ship for the Mighty Ducks but it appears that could soon be changing. The Ducks find themselves in a transition period and they will need to ask themselves, is now the time to pass the torch?
Insert the Nashville Predators and GM, David Poile. Poile was on record this week stating his team isn't good enough and some of his big name players will be wearing new logos next season.
All I can say is that all options are on the table to make our team better for the 2020-21 season
According to one western conference source, Poile has been busy this week and made a call to Anaheim:
The Ducks received a call this week on Getzlaf and if they thought it was time to move on. Nashville offered a package that included Ryan Johansen, prospect Frederic Allard and at least one draft pick.
If Ryan Getzlaf is traded, it will be his decision. A place like Nashville seems like a spot he would accept and could be the perfect place to finish his career. Music city, still gets some warm weather and stays in the western conference.
Keep an eye on these two teams as things are heating up big time on the trade market.
