The Calgary Flames suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Dallas Stars and solidified another year of disappointment in Calgary. There will be major changes to the roster and two names not expected back are defensemen, Travis Hamonic and TJ Brodie.

Ferraro expects Brodie and Hamonic to not be back in Calgary.
Both players will be unrestricted free-agents and the Flames will be building their new D-Core around Rasmus Andersson, Juuso Valimaki, Mark Giordano, and Noah Hanifin.
Both players are expected to land on their feet, and especially Hamonic who as a RHD, will be a hot commodity on the free-agent market. Brodie made $4.65 million and Hamonic $3.8 million on their last deal, you can expect both to come in around the $5 million mark on their next deal.
This will just be the beginning, keep an eye on Calgary to pull off some eye-opening trades this off season.
