Breaking: Penguins announce huge changes to their coaching staff
The Pittsburgh Penguins have begun making major changes and it's started with their coaching staff. Head coach, Mike Sullivan will be back next season, but he will have a new team of assistants, as Sergei Gonchar, Mark Recchi and Jacques Martin have all been let go.
The Penguins will not renew the contracts of assistant coaches Sergei Gonchar, Jacques Martin, and Mark Recchi.

With the moves from GM, Jim Rutherford, head coach Mike Sullivan is now on the hot seat. If the team fails to produce with new assistants, a head coaching change will be next.
One thing to note here, Gonchar and Malkin are best friends and 'Geno' was huge in bringing Gonchar on board to the staff. You can't expect he will be happy with this news.
