Tuukka Rask has opted out of the NHL playoffs!!

Breaking news out of Boston as Tuukka Rask has opted out of the 2020 NHL playoffs and is leaving the bubble to be with his family.

Here's the statement from the Finnish goaltender, who has started both games versus the Carolina Hurricanes:

Don Sweeney says the Boston Bruins "understand completely where Tuukka's coming from." He called it a difficult one for the goaltender to make.

One more thing, 2020 has been insane.
We don't know whats going on with Rask outside of hockey and I think it's important that we, as a hockey community, support what is a personal decision for him.

Sweeney mentioned that Rask has a newborn at home, plus two other young children, and that put a mental strain on him.
