Tuukka Rask's Post Game Comments Outrage Fan Base
Despite winning the President's Trophy this season, the Boston Bruins have only won one game in the bubble. They lost their exhibition game and went 0-3 in their round robin. They beat the Carolina Hurricanes in game 1 of their 7 game series, but they were defeated in game 2. Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask spoke to the media after the game and fans are extremely upset.
Rask made headlines recently when he wore a Boston PD hat during an interview. Some felt that he was making a political statement against Black Lives Matter, while others quickly shut down this narrative.
He is now stirring up controversy with his post game comments following game 2.
Rask: “It doesn’t really feel like playoff hockey right now. There’s no fans. It feels like an exhibition game.”— Evan Marinofsky (@emarinofsky) August 14, 2020
Fans felt that he was not performing well during the game and thought that he may look disinterested. After hearing these comments, Bruins fans are calling for him to be traded or let go.
