Details revealed about the Minnesota Wild's new player mandate!
The Minnesota Wild have struggled and struggled and struggled some more. A good team, but never able to get over the hump, and be great. Wild GM, Bill Guerin is still getting his feet wet in the role, and he's been candid about the changes coming, and these changes have already begun. Look for more on the way and keep an eye on where these players are from.

Interesting conversation on TSN1200 about the #mnwild, they have an internal mandate similar to Montreal to get Minnesota born players in. They've made mistakes in the past they don't want to repeat, skipping on Boeser in the 2015 Draft and trading away Nick Leddy are two.
So Nick Bjugstad, first to the tee.
Some other names that could be on the Wild's radar, with this new internal mandate include:
- Anders Lee
- Jake Gardiner
- Justin Braun
- Brock Boeser
- Matt Niskanen
- Derek Stepan
- Alex Goligoski
- Erik Johnson
- Nate Schmidt
- Casey Mittelstadt
