Report: Life In The NHL Bubble Is Taking A Toll On Players

Many can relate to the negative impacts of being in quarantine. Although quarantine life in the NHL bubble offers more freedoms than the average household, being away from friends and family could pose significant challenges for players. An NHL player has spoken in the media about the difficulties some players are beginning to face.

NHL players have been inside the bubble for just over one month now. There are reports that players are beginning to go through mental battles, but deny that it has had any impact on their game. Dallas Stars Andrej Sekera has spoken to the media about the challenges of the bubble life.
"Every day is the same. Moving between arena and hotel, eating the same food in the same restaurants and playing cards or PS4 on our days off. We miss our families and it's starting to have an impact on some guys."
The Dallas Stars are playing in a Game 7 match-up against the Colorado Avalanche this afternoon. Although players are desperately fighting to have their names engraved on the Stanley Cup, it seems that there is a bright side to being sent home
