Rumor: Vegas Golden Knights Interested In Torey Krug

The Vegas Golden Knights are prepared to be big spenders during the free agency period. They are reportedly interested in signing Alex Pietrangelo. However, Torey Krug is said to be their second option if their first option fails. Regardless, the Golden Knights are interested in adding a solid veteran blueliner.
Torey Krug has been an integral member of the Boston Bruins, but his contract demands are beyond what their salary cap will allow at this time. The Golden Knights will have enough space to sign a competent defenseman after trading or buying out Marc-Andre Fleury and possibly moving another piece.

According to Elliotte Friedman, if the Golden Knights cannot sign Alex Pietrangelo, they will be prepared to offer Torey Krug a contract. After a surprising and disappointing defeat in the Conference Finals, general manager Kelly McCrimmon is seeking to ensure that his team will be even stronger next season.
