TRADE: Buffalo Sabres acquire Eric Staal from Minnesota

The Buffalo Sabres have acquired veteran centreman Eric Staal from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for winger Marcus Johansson. 

The Buffalo Sabres acquire a much needed 2nd line centreman in Eric Staal from the Minnesota Wild for Marcus Johansson. Last season, Staal was third on the team in points with 19 goals and 47 points. 

The Minnesota Wild acquire a veteran winger in Johansson who was 6th on the Sabres' team in points with 9 goals and 21 points in 60 games.
