Two long-time Senators are finished in Ottawa
The Ottawa Senators have announced they will not be offering a new contract to goaltender Craig Anderson.
Sens GM, Pierre Dorion made the move official with an announcement earlier today.
He’s the best goalie we’ve ever had. It’s time for us to take another direction and we thank him for everything he did.
The Senators appear set to roll with the combination of Marcus Hogberg and Anders Nilsson. With a goalie market that's going to be the hottest it's been in years, there's a chance neither of these goalies will be the Senators starter come opening night of next season.
The team also announced rugged d-man, Mark Borowiecki will also be hitting the free-agent market and there will be a long list of suitors for his toughness.
Big changes happening in Ottawa!
