Agent: One Team an Option for Dustin Byfuglien

Dustin Byfuglien's return to the NHL appears to be unlikely at this point, however his agent recently made some comments that have Byfuglien fans hopeful of a comeback.

Byfuglien's agent, Ben Hankinson had this to say in a recent interview on The Russo Hockey Show podcast:

I think really it’s going to be a long shot if he comes back and plays, he hunts and fishes and he’s got young kids and he’s very active in their lives, he’s got some anchorage here in Minneapolis that would make it a perfect fit for him to come back and play for the Wild […] but I think it’s going to be a very long shot.

Even though Minnesota seems like the perfect fit, don't get your hopes up, unfortunately. Byfuglien appears to be content to take it easy on his surgically repaired ankle, and enjoy his family time.

The 35-year-old played 869 career regular season games, tallying 525 points, and in 66 playoff games collected 50 points. With Byfuglien's $58 million career earnings, it appears he's ready to enjoy retirement.
