Anthony Duclair is finished in Ottawa!
In one of the more shocking stories from Wednesday in the NHL, the Ottawa Senators have decided not to give forward Anthony Duclair a qualifying offer, making Duclair an unrestricted free-agent.
Duclair, who represented himself during the negotiations with the Senators, could not agree to terms with GM, Pierre Dorion and leaves Ottawa after two seasons.
Last year, Duclair finished with 40 points in 66 games including 23 goals. The 25-year-old will be one of the most sought after forwards on the market, come noon on Friday.
Duclair’s 23 goals this past season rank him 4th among UFA forwards behind Hoffman, Dadonov and Toffoli. https://t.co/Q94rt0fUIT
