#Blackhawks announce they will not re-sign Corey Crawford. He went 260-162-53 with a 2.45 GAA, .918 SV% & 26 SO in 488 games with the team.
In 96 playoff games, he went 52-42 with a 2.38 GAA, .918 SV% & 5 SO, winning 2 Stanley Cups. pic.twitter.com/dzgPJSYVdh
Blackhawks GM, Stan Bowman mentioned it was a very emotional conversation with Crawford as the goaltender gave his heart and soul to Chicago, not only on the ice, but also in the community.
The Blackhawks now move on in net, and recently were linked to Matt Murray, but could not agree to terms on a contract to facilitate the trade with Pittsburgh. The team has also been linked to Marc-Andre Fleury, as we reported here.
Expect the Blackhawks to focus on their goaltending situation come Friday at Noon, when free-agency begins.
