Murray, a one-time 2nd overall draft pick by the Blue Jackets is 27, and has one-year left on his contract paying him $4.6 million. The move for the Blue Jackets was strictly a salary dump, while the Devils think Murray still has potential and will slot him into their top-4.
For the Blue Jackets, they now have roughly $15 million in cap space and are looking to pick up some offense. Expect them to now make a serious run at one particular free-agent...
