"I have been evaluating our hockey operations department, and this is the first part of the process to re-organize our group," GM Jim Rutherford says.
Dir. of hockey research, Sam Ventura, will assume Karmanos’ duties on interim basis.
Rutherford had this to say in a press release:
We would like to thank Jason Karmanos for his contributions to the organization over the past six years. I have been evaluating our hockey operations department, and this is the first part of the process to re-organize our group
Jim Rutherford continues to be one of the boldest GM's in the league, with swift moves both on and off the ice.
