Buffalo Sabres Lock Up RFA Forward
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Buffalo Sabres and restricted free-agent forward Victor Olofsson have reached an agreement on a two-year deal.
Olofsson came out of nowhere for the Sabres last season during his first full season in the show, as the 25-year-old scored 20 goals and 42 points in 54 games. His versatility to play right-wing as a left-handed shot should bode well for his production, as next year he will get a look with Jack Eichel and Taylor Hall. Not bad for a former seventh-round pick.

The deal is worth just over $6 million total which given Buffalo's cap space, no need for Sabres fans to worry too much about that.
Olofsson's arbitration hearing was scheduled for November 4th. He now has some free time.
