Calgary Flames Sign Another Vancouver Canuck
On the same day we brought you three potential destinations for free-agent Josh Leivo, the player has gone ahead and signed a new deal.
The Calgary Flames have announced they have signed Leivo, to a one-year deal worth $875,000. This is a great move for the team and for the player, and gives the Flames yet another free-agent signing from their rival Vancouver Canucks. First Jacob Markstrom and Chris Tanev, and now Leivo are all staying west.
For Leivo it's a great opportunity to join a team with some holes in their bottom-six forwards. He'll be looking to improve on his seven goals from last season and hit double digits, helping provide some secondary scoring for the Flames.
CGY adds Josh Leivo on a 1 yr bargain contract.

In limited minutes, he's been a really useful offensive middle-sixer who manages shot quality, creates for others, creates for himself, scores, never takes penalties, and rarely turns the puck over. https://t.co/fbxaBulVWt pic.twitter.com/efJUzD28RK
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Calgary Canucks.
