Dallas Stars Provide Update on Tyler Seguin's Surgery
Dallas Stars general manager, Jim Nill provided an update on his superstar Tyler Seguin, and Stars' fans may want to look away. Turns out, Seguin hasn't had surgery yet, and is going to miss significant time next season.
The procedure is scheduled for next week, and the recovery time is a minimum of four months. Nill recently spoke with the media and had this to say on the matter:
We anticipate he's having it next week. Because of the (coronavirus) pandemic, where he's having the surgery, there are certain restrictions, so we've had to work around some of those things. Some surgeries have been canceled, so he hasn't had it yet. We'll have another call here, I hope, next week, and I can update everyone on things moving forward.
The tough part with all of this is that nobody knows the time frame. We don't know the start of the season, so that's why we want to get it done as soon as possible.
Seguin battled the hip injury all playoffs, but only missed one game in the round-robin because of it. He finished the playoff run with 13 points in 26 games, but only managed six assists in the final 15 games.
If only Seguin was fully healthy....
