DONE DEAL: Minnesota and San Jose Make Another Trade!
The Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks have pulled off another trade in less than 12 hours, as the Wild have sent starting goaltender Devan Dubnyk and a 7th-round pick to the San Jose Sharks for a 5th-round pick.
Dubnyk fell out of favor in Minnesota and general manager Bill Guerin has been as open as any executive in the league admitting changes were coming to Minnesota's crease.
We first reported this deal was expected back on October 3rd, and sure enough, today it was announced. Considering we were originally on this move on August 11th, always feels nice being ahead of the curve.
Hearing that a Devan Dubnyk trade to San Jose, as expected, has been completed and should be announced within the next hour.

Michael Russo from The Athletic mentions Dubnyk is owed only $2.5 million in cash even though he carries a cap hit of $4.33 million. The Wild have retained half of Dubnyk's remaining money.
Wild times in Minnesota as Bill Guerin is not finished making moves. For the Sharks, they now have an interesting goaltending duo to chomp on with Dubnyk and Martin Jones.
