Done Deal: New York Rangers and LA Kings Complete a Trade
As we reported yesterday, the New York Rangers and LA Kings have been talking trades lately and it turns out they finally landed on an agreement. The Rangers have dealt, former first-round pick Lias Andersson to the Kings in exchange for a second-round pick at the 2020 Draft.
The Rangers went on to select 6'3 prospect William Cuylle of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.
The Kings will be using Andersson in a much different role than the Rangers were, as the team has several spots open in their top-9 forwards. The Swedish forward has played a total of 66 games with the Rangers and has registered only 9 points.
However, Andersson is still only 22-years-old, was taken #7 overall in his draft class only three years ago and still has a ton of potential.
Looks like a great move for both clubs!
