Done Deal: Pittsburgh and Ottawa Make A Trade!
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators have completed a deal involving goaltender, Matt Murray.
The deal sees Murray head to Ottawa for a 2nd-round pick, #52 overall and forward Jonathan Gruden.
Here's the full trade. Always felt Ottawa was a good spot for Murray. He's 26, joins a young team on the rise. I really like the fit. https://t.co/SEh1B02y0Z

Penguins GM, Jim Rutherford told the world weeks ago he would not be able to keep both Murray and Penguins starting goalie, Tristan Jarry and has signed Jarry long-term and now traded Murray.
Murray brings Stanley Cup winning experience to a young team in Ottawa and at only 26-years-old, now becomes Ottawa's goalie of the future.
The Penguins now free themselves of another potential contract, and receive back a 2nd rounder, which is great return for their club after they dealt their first-rounder to Toronto.
We will have to wait and see about Murray's next contract, as he's a restricted free-agent and now will negotiate with Ottawa regarding his next contract.
Penguins and Senators have been talking about this deal for a few weeks. Ramped up over the past 90 minutes. Penguins like a few players around the 52 pick. Plus, important to Pitt to finally make this trade before free agency opens and glut of UFA goalies are avail.
