Report: Shane Doan Heading Back to Arizona

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman 'Mr Coyote' himself, Shane Doan, is in talks with the Arizona Coyotes about a return to the team. The position appears to be related to player development and operations.

Doan has been nothing short of a saint for the franchise as he's the all-time leader in games played (1540), goals (402), assists (570) and points (972).

Doan has been working in some capacity with the NHL's operations for the past 3 seasons and it was essentially inevitable he would eventually land back in a position with the Coyotes. Some wanted him to become their new GM, but as we've seen now that wasn't the case.

Arizona is a better place if Shane Doan is involved and it looks like it won't be long before a reunion is announced.
