Report: Trade Between Chicago and Pittsburgh Falls Through
The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks have reportedly been talking trade and it turns out the chatter broke off just as a deal was getting finalized.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the deal included Penguins goaltender, Matt Murray heading to Chicago. What halted the agreement was Murray's next contract and the terms couldn't be agreed upon between his camp and the Blackhawks management.
Hearing CHI/PIT had Matt Murray conversations and the Blackhawks had permission to discuss an extension. Things did not work out, so everyone continues examining their options.

There is a chance Chicago could circle back here so don't cross them off the destination list just yet. Other teams to keep an eye on would be the Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes and the Calgary Flames.
One thing is for sure, Matt Murray won't be a Penguin next season.
