Report: Trade coming between San Jose and Minnesota
This could take a few days if it ends up getting done. But he’s San Jose’s top goalie target. Idea is a Jones-Dubnyk tandem next season. https://t.co/40wziYOCqB

Goaltending duos are the new 'thing' and San Jose feels Dubnyk could be a veteran who could push Jones to perform. 'Duby' fell out of favor in Minnesota and with one-year left on his contract at $4.33 million, he's turned himself into a valuable trade chip for the Wild. Who knew, considering he played in 30 games last year and finished with a .890 save %. When the goalie market is hot, it's hot.
Wild GM, Bill Guerin has been as open and honest as anyone this off season, informing the league changes were coming. This will be the third Wild trade in roughly a month.
No Koivu, no Staal, no Dubnyk....the Wild's identity continues to change.
San Jose is not on Devan Dubnyk's 10-team No-trade list (10 teams he can't be traded to). So the Wild are free and clear to deal him to San Jose if they wish. But I do think San Jose wants to make sure Dubnyk is comfortable with the move before both teams take it further.
