Aaron Portzline of TheAthletic: “From the chatter I’m hearing around the NHL, it’s pretty clear that Columbus Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekäläinen is wanting to be a player in some of the league’s bigger deals, and he’s looking to add some firepower at forward.” #CBJ
This report from the Athletic comes days after Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported the Blue Jackets were talking to the Winnipeg Jets about a Patrik Laine for David Savard and Boone Jenner deal.
While CBJ have been linked to Laine they are also preparing an offer for free-agent Taylor Hall and have held discussions with the Calgary Flames about their top-6 forwards.
The Blue Jackets are ready to shock the NHL.....someone lite the cannon!
