Rumor: Tyler Johnson Has Played His Last Game in Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Lightning are fresh off their Stanley Cup win and have already been faced with some tough decisions for next season. The team is worried about offer sheets on their restricted free-agents, and in order to free up some cash, the team is turning to some veterans about the possibility of moving. Insert, Tyler Johnson.

Hearing that Tampa Bay has talked to Tyler Johnson’s camp about working together on a possible move. Johnson has a full no-trade clause. Let’s see where this goes.
Johnson is 30 years old, making $5 million with four-years left on his contract. The versatile forward can play all three forward positions and holds a full no-trade clause, so any move would need to be approved on his end.
Johnson enjoyed himself a decent season, collecting 31 points in 65 games, but some would say he didn't play up to his contract considering he made $5 million. Johnson went on to tally 7 points during Tampa's Cup run.
With Mikhail Sergachev, Erik Cernak and Anthony Cirelli heading for restricted free-agency, Tampa is working hard to move Johnson to free up the cap space needed to keep their core together.
Unfortunately, for Johnson, who was once a staple for the Lightning, he won't be sticking around to try and run it back in Tampa Bay.
