Rumored Trade Package From Philadelphia to Winnipeg for Patrik Laine
According to multiple reports, the Philadelphia Flyers have been the most active team trying to acquire Patrik Laine from the Winnipeg Jets.
Believe the #Flyers were the team most engaged with #nhljets to this point on Laine. Talks have cooled for now. Though it did involve a defenceman going to WPG, the Niskanen retirement is a nonfactor in PHI’s ability to revisit a potential Laine deal. Will they? We’ll see. https://t.co/jjqWMc0cxc

According to sources close to Winnipeg's operations, the Jets have interest in LHD Shayne Gostisbehere, LW/C Scott Laughton and a first-round pick. Flyers defenseman, Travis Sanheim is also on the Jets radar, however, it appears the Flyers would like to move Gostisbehere instead.
The Jets need to fill holes at their #2 center position along with both sides of their defense, so a one-for-one deal isn't very likely at this point, and look for the Jets to obtain a package of assets in return for the Finnish sniper.
All Winnipeg has to do is play Laine with Mark Scheifele and he will be happy enough to stay. At this point, it doesn't appear head coach Paul Maurice is interested in doing so, hence how it's extremely likely Laine will be dealt this off season.
