The Golden King? Vegas could become an option for Lundqvist

Henrik Lundqvist hasn't formally announced his plans for next season and the guessing game continues. For this round, one of hockey's best insiders sees one situation where 'The King' ends up a Golden Knight.

Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada, Sportsnet, and the co-host of 31 Thoughts podcast:

I’ve heard that if Vegas trades Fleury or doesn’t keep Lehner, they might have some interest in Henrik Lundqvist. He’d had some interest in Arizona, but things are different there now. I think he’s gonna look what at his options are decide from there

Vegas gives Lundqvist a great shot at a Stanley Cup considering they are basically batting .1000 since coming into the league.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where Marc-Andre Fleury remains in Vegas, certainly feels after all that's happened, he could end up in another crease. Whether that's the fan favorite situation where MAF ends up back in Pittsburgh, it could also be a number of teams as the goalie market has never been hotter.

For Hank, he has all the control and a decision is looming. Soon he'll inform his agent and the reports will surface.
