Three Teams Are Fighting Over Tyson Barrie
Tyson Barrie is an unrestricted free-agent who is looking for a 'bounce-back' contract that will propel its way into something long-term. Turns out, three teams have all made offers to make this happen.

Discussions underway this morning between Tyson Barrie and the three primary teams with interest. Tight squeeze for the Oilers, but a good fit. Vancouver is eager to land Barrie and Colorado is in the mix as well. All short term.
If you look at someone like Kevin Shattenkirk, who was bought out by the New York Rangers, signed a short-term deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and turned that into a multi-year deal with the Ducks. This is basically what Barrie is looking for, minus the buy-out part.
The British Columbia native has long been rumored to be heading out west, when given the chance, and after a rocky year in Toronto, it was obvious they were moving on. For Barrie, a reunion in Colorado or running the power-play in Edmonton, seem like the most logical choices at this point.
**Update, Barrie signed a one-year deal in Edmonton for $3.75 million, and left money on the table for a chance to run their power-play.
