Tyson Barrie is finished with the Maple Leafs
Don't expect to see Tyson Barrie return to the Maple Leafs once free-agency hits, as it appears the break-up has been a messy one.
Barrie, who was brought over in an off season trade last year which included Nazem Kadri heading to Colorado, is an unrestricted free-agent. He's not expected to even receive a phone call from Kyle Dubas, as considering the Maple Leafs didn't even give Barrie an exit interview, you have to think their relationship is over.
Barrie was a mess in Toronto, especially early under Mike Babcock, played a bit better under Sheldon Keefe, but basically disappeared in the big moments.
The offensive RHD will get massive money on the open market, and the Leafs don't mind. They have internally discussed moving on and it appears they will be doing so.
Lmao Bob Stauffer says on 630CHED that it's his understanding that Tyson Barrie didn't even have an exit interview with the Leafs

Look for Barrie to receive lucrative offers from the Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, perhaps his old club the Colorado Avalanche circle back as well.
One team that you can cross off Barrie's list....the Toronto Maple Leafs.
