Vegas Offered Marc-Andre Fleury to Entire NHL
The Vegas Golden Knights have been busy with the recent news of goaltender Robin Lehner signing a five-year contract extension. Their next move may be their toughest.
According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, Vegas let it be known to the entire league they were willing to trade Fleury, along with a sweetener of a second-round pick at Tuesday's draft and they didn't want 'anything' in return. Turns out nobody in the league wants his full contract.
As Roberto Luongo would say - 'My Contract Sucks' and right now, that's certainly the same case for MAF.
"A lot of teams are interested in Marc-Andre Fleury, just not at $7 million. Can you get him down to 5 or 4, I think then a lot more teams would be interested. But the problem there is Vegas doesn't want to retain salary." -@frank_seravalli on @TSN1260

Keep an eye on the Minnesota Wild who are looking for a new starting goaltender. Their GM, Bill Guerin, also happens to be ex-teammates with Fleury in Pittsburgh. Interesting times in Vegas as Tuesday could be Fleury's last day as a Golden Knight.
They will just have to pay to make it happen.
