The contract is yet another 'win' for the management team as the Boston Bruins are becoming one of the most financially stable teams in the league. They continue to sign players to value contracts and even though they continue to win games, they don't find themselves in a cap crunch year after year.
DeBrusk had 19 goals last season and 27 the year before and the Bruins will be looking at DeBrusk to manage the load when it comes to secondary scoring from the second-line. He's a streaky scorer and the hope is he can build off two years ago and find a consistent game for the entire season.

The Bruins now holds roughly $3 million in cap space and has 21 players under NHL contracts and are in great shape heading into next season.
