The Buffalo Sabres have announced they have signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a two-year deal. The contract pays the 31-year-old $725,000 per season for his NHL contract.

Tokarski spent last season with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he posted a 1.97 goals against average and a .924 save percentage over 18 games. The numbers in the AHL are outstanding, but unfortunately for the one-time fifth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, it hasn't been the same in NHL appearances.

The Saskatchewan native has only appeared in 34 NHL games since 2009. This move is strictly a depth move for the Sabres, but with the 'new bubbles' coming for the NHL, goaltending depth is going to be a huge advantage.
