Dallas Stars Lock Up RFA Forward
The Dallas Stars have announced they have signed forward Roope Hintz to a three-year contract that pays the versatile forward $3.15 million per season.
Hintz burst onto the scene this season for the Stars, as the 23-year-old recorded 33 points in 60 games and added 13 more points in the Stars playoff run to the Stanley Cup finals.
Hintz was originally selected 49th overall in the 2015 draft and now gives the Stars a full 23-man NHL roster for next year.

Anton Khudobin 3 x $3.333M
Mark Pysyk 1 x $750k
Radek Faksa 5 x $3.25M
Denis Gurianov 2 x $2.55M
Rick Bowness named head coach
Roope Hintz 3 x $3.15M
Roope Hintz re-signs with DAL for 3 yrs x $3.15 mil (per @capfriendly) and that's really great value for the Stars. He's a big plus in quality share, creates high-quality opportunities for himself, draws a ton of penalties, and is a willing shot blocker.https://t.co/fbxaBulVWt pic.twitter.com/5tjSe4YdDw

Look for Hintz to continue to develop as the everyday #2 center in Dallas, and the 1-2 punch between him and Tyler Seguin is going to be fun to watch in Dallas for a long time.
