Dallas Stars Provide Update on Ben Bishop
Ben Bishop was supposed to be 'the guy' in Dallas when they signed him to a six-year deal back in 2017. While Bishop certainly has had his moments, injuries have piled up, and the latest is shelving the American goaltender long-term.
The team has announced Bishop underwent surgery on October 21st, to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, and is expected to be out a minimum of five months.

Makes sense why the team brought back Anton Khudobin for three more years, which just so happens to be the length of Bishop's contract as well. It's obvious the team is willing to stick with their veteran tandem, as both goalies salaries are under $8.5 million combined, which if you compare that spending to other teams, the Stars are in great shape.
Let's hope Ben Bishop makes a full recovery and we see him back between the pipes for the Stars, sometime in 2021.
Tyler Seguin, out five months due to surgery, had very bad shooting luck this season but still profiles as a strong and productive offensive centre. #Stars pic.twitter.com/PrDz60ahBZ
