Edmonton Oiler Oscar Klefbom May Miss Entire Season!
Huge news out of Edmonton as the Oilers may be without one of their best defenseman for the entire 2020-21 season as Oscar Klefbom is dealing with a shoulder injury that is feared more serious then first believed.
The Swedish rear-guard can't seem to get passed this nagging injury and now missing the entire year seems like a reality. Put it this way, if Klefbom plays one single shift next year, it will be a surprise to GM, Ken Holland.
Oscar Klefbom may need surgery to repair an undisclosed injury, and the Oilers' No. 1 defenseman could miss all of next season, general manager Ken Holland said.https://t.co/yTrnQN8QCp

Klefbom, 27, is signed for three more seasons at just over $4 million, which is excellent value for the Oilers. As he will now head to LTIR, it gives the Oilers a few more bucks to spend at the trade deadline where they can fill some holes, and one of those likely being within the left-side of the top-four. For now, they are going with what they have according to Holland.
Klefbom has played in 378 career games for the Oilers and has collected 156 points, to go along with 7 points in 16 playoff games. Unfortunately for everyone involved, his next game won't be anytime soon.
