Rumor: Corey Perry to Sign With Canadian Team

Corey Perry is coming off a long playoff run with the Dallas Stars, but it does not appear the free-agent will be heading back to Texas. At 35, Perry would like to play a few more seasons and has been waiting out the free-agent market, awaiting the right opportunity to come his way.

Turns out, that could come from Canada' capital.

According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, there's mutual interest between the Ottawa Senators and Perry, who is originally from just a couple hours west of Ottawa.

Last season for the Stars, Perry finished with 21 points in 57 games and chipped-in with nine more points in the playoffs, including some key goals.

If Perry signs in Ottawa, expect the deal to be for one-year, and for around $1 million.
