Rumor: Patrik Laine to the Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have some decisions to make on their own restricted free-agents as they continue to work through their internal offseason. It also sounds like they may have some interest in completing a huge trade as according to Jimmy Murphy of NBC Sports, the Bruins could be targeting Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets.
There's also been some reports surfacing for a couple of months now, how a trade would benefit Laine and the Jets are aware there is potential he doesn't show up to training camp and wants to completely move on.
Pierre LeBrun on Insider Trading: "Patrik Laine's agents do confirm that it probably would be mutually beneficial to both the player and the #GoJetsGo if he is traded, and that there is clear communication between them and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff about this."

If Boston and Winnipeg were to complete a deal, the Jets would have interest in Jake DeBrusk and Brandon Carlo. The Bruins would likely be reluctant to meet the Jets demands, so it's certainly going to be tough for a trade to materialize. Picks and prospects may have to be involved, potentially from both sides.
If you are wondering why Laine wants out, it has to do with his limited minutes with the Jets top-line and his relationship with head coach, Paul Maurice. The player feels his development is being hindered because of his situation on the team.
As we are only a few weeks away from training camps beginning in the NHL, look for Laine to be moved sometime before Christmas.
