The champs had to get creative with the contract as they are under a serious cap crunch with both Anthony Cirelli and Erik Cernak left to sign. Expect to see some trades coming in Tampa Bay.
Sergachev is one of the best young defenseman in the league and at 22, still has great lengths to go as a player. Last season the native of Russia chipped in with 34 points in 70 games in the regular season and 10 more points during the Cup run.
Great news out of Tampa, but unfortunately somebody will be leaving soon....

Doesn't sound like there's been much headway on the Anthony Cirelli RFA front.

``Nothing new to report,'' says Cirelli's agent Pat Morris of Newport Sports.
