The Arizona Coyotes have been busy of late and their transactions continued on Monday as the team has agreed to bring in unrestricted free agent, Jordan Schmaltz to training camp on a professional tryout.

The 27-year-old Schmaltz is a former first-round pick, 25th overall of the St Louis Blues back at the 2012 draft. The 6'2, 190lb right-handed defenseman spent last season in the AHL between the Toronto Marlies and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where he finished with 14 points in 43 games.
The Madison, Wisconsin native's best year came back in 2019, where he appeared in 20 games for the Stanley Cup champion St Louis Blues. In 42 career NHL games, Schmaltz has collected 5 points.
It's becoming a family affair in Arizona as Jordan's younger brother Nick has been with the Coyotes for two seasons and is expected to be a big part of their future.
