Henrik Lundqvist Out For The Season

It's been a tough day around the NHL and it's only gotten worse after Washington Capitals goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist has announced he won't be joining the team this season. 

Lundqvist cites a medical condition that he's been tested on multiple times over the course of the last few months and the doctor's are advising it's better suited if he doesn't play this season.

Here's Lundqvist's official statement:

Horrible news for the Lundqvist family, the Capitals, and the NHL, it's a better place with 'King Henrik' included.

We will all wait to hear from Lundqvist as he will take the next few weeks and mull it over with his family on what his next steps will look like.
