The versatile defenseman who is ready and willing to play either side for the Flames appeared in 48 games last season, which for Kylington was a career high. He finished the year with seven points and will challenge for a depth spot on the Flames' bottom-pairing next season.
Kylington was originally a second round pick back in 2015 and is a native of Stockholm, Sweden. The deal covers next season and gives the Flames some more leverage in 2021 when Kylington will still be a restricted free-agent when the contract expires.
Solid move for the Flames who are doing their best to fill the holes left on their blue line from the departures of TJ Brodie and Travis Hamonic.
